When a counselor told me to look at the Panhandle Plains Student Loan Center website I decided to take his advice and check it out. This site helped me to understand all of the different financing options that were available to me and it helped me to understand the loan process and how to start a loan application. The Panhandle Plains Student Loans Center helps to provide FFELP loans, Federal Perkins loans, institutional account receivables, as well as alternative student loans. There was plenty for me to chose from and I was able to learn about the loan programs that would work best for my current situation. I liked the Panhandle Plains site because it was clear that their goal was to help people become students. Education was an obvious priority and I was made to feel comfortable every step of the way. Taking on any sort of debt can be stressful and they made me understand the benefit and purpose of loans, aid, and grants. In combination these options work together to make college affordable and within reach. Thru the Panhandle Plains Student Loan Center website I was able to compare all of the different loan programs and options that were available to me. in my situation I felt the most comfortable with Federal Perkins Loans because the amount that I could use per year as a full time undergraduate student worked for me. They also offered a comfortable repayment schedule over a 10 year period after graduation and their interest rates were good too. During this process I have learned about aid and grants as well. For my situation I did not qualify but for those that do college is within reach even with a not so good financial situation. That is what was so great about the Panhandle Plains Student Loan Center. They offered so much information and it was presented in such a way that it was easy to understand and they made the application process simple and direct. I was able to move forward with my educational goals and this site provided me th opportunity to finance my education with a federal loan that I could live with. |
